The quests in this New World fishing guide will not be an easy task for players looking for the legendary fishing rod .
This series covers fifteen different missions and requires spending a lot of time fishing, so it is normal that it is not seen as a priority at first.
However, raising this skill offers good rewards and will help you get gold and raise other skills at the end of the missions.
MISSIONS SKILL FISHING NEW WORLD
Fishing Mission 1: Fishing With Shields
Available starting at character level 5, you can pick up Shield Fishing from Michael Shields , a master fisherman found by the river west of Windsward Hamlet.
Fishing Mission 2: Fishing Basics
The next quest Michael Shields will give you requires a character level of 10.
First of all, you will have to catch three fish .
Take them to Dena Ruby , an NPC found on the west coast of Fort Everfall.
You'll get 520 XP, 50 Gold, 175 Standing, and a pair of Battered Fisherman's Boots.
These boots are purely decorative as they do not offer bonuses for fishing.
Fishing Mission 3: Baited
Dena Ruby will continue to give you the following quests within the fishing quest chain.
For this one, you must get a clam (Clam) and a snail (Snail) and give them to Dallas Clemenson .
This NPC is found along the coast northeast of Dayspring Mills, in First Light.
Both of these items can be found in First Light, so try to find them near where you'll turn in the quest.
Clams are found in salt water, while snails are fished in fresh water.

These are special areas with more chances to catch rare fish, and are easily spotted by fish jumping out of the water.
Once you have your fish, go to Quinton Warwick , which is located on the islands to the west of Monarch's Bluff.
You will get 1200 XP, 87.50 Gold, 250 Standing, and the Battered Fisherman's Trousers, no fishing bonuses.
Fishing Mission 5: Practice Makes Perfect
Quinton Warwick then asks you to catch 15 fish .
They can be any type of fish, but the quest itself requires you to be at least level 25.
Once you have the fish, travel to meet Edith Perchal .
It is located in the northern Cutlass Keys, near the beginning of the river.
Fishing Mission 6: The Giant Ones
Once you have reached level 30, Edith will give you the next quest in the quest chain.
He will ask you to catch eight fish of 20 pounds or more and deliver them to Park Jennet .
To catch larger fish, you will need to use a special bait.
