TYPES OF FISHING RODS
We find countless types of rods and each one with completely different specifications. We classify them into several types.
- Spinning rods : They are characterized by having the reel seat facing downwards.
- Casting : Reel seat located at the top of the handle.
- Telescopic : They are spinning rods that are characterized by their small size when they are collected. These have the characteristic of collecting some rods inside others.
- Fly fishing rods : Longer rods as a general rule, very elastic to be able to cast the rat tail, they always have the reel seat at the bottom of the handle.
ACTIONS, POWER AND RESISTANCE OF FISHING RODS
Each fishing and each modality require different rods, so we must know which one is more similar to our needs. Right now the price range is very variable, from a few € to prices of up to €800 for professional fishing rods.
Rods have two main characteristics, action and power. The action refers to the part where our rod bends and the power is the resistance it endures before it breaks.
ACCORDING TO THE ACTIONS THEY CAN BE:
- Slow or parabolic action : They are ideal for fishing medium-sized fish, they are very fun in the fight and their characteristic is that the rod bends almost completely.
- Moderate or semi-parabolic: These bend in half, transmit vibrations well and the casts will be fast, although not as fast as a fast action.
- Fast or tip action: Finally these bend right at the top, it is these rods that our casts will be much faster and longer. Another of its best features is its great sensitivity
FISHING ROD COVER
Fishing rod covers are something that every angler should have . They are delicate equipment, and the tips tend to break very easily. They are very cheap materials and do not take up any space, so there is no excuse if a toe cap breaks.
